Mr Andrew Pearson is a highly specialised Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 20 years experience and one of the few surgeons in the UK whose practice is dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of hip conditions. He works full-time in private practice and consults and operates at several hospitals including The Priory Hospital and The Droitwich Spa Hospital, both part of Circle Health Group. He sees and treats privately insured and self-funding patients from across the UK and internationally.
Mr Pearson is a super-specialist in all aspects of hip surgery, including total hip replacement, revision (redo) hip surgery, hip arthroplasty, joint injections, and the management of sports-related hip injuries. He is particularly recognised for his expertise in complex revision surgery, helping patients whose previous hip replacements have failed.
Prior to moving exclusively into private practice, his NHS work was based for over 20 years at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, where his clinical focus was entirely on hip disorders. He was also Medical Director there from 2013 to 2019, leading improvements in surgical outcomes and patient experience across the organisation and the wider NHS.
Mr Pearson graduated with distinction from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1995, where he was awarded the final year surgery prize as the top-performing student in London. He completed his higher surgical training in orthopaedics in the West Midlands and undertook advanced fellowship training in complex and revision hip surgery in Oxford before being appointed as a consultant in 2004.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Pearson is actively involved in teaching and training surgeons in both diagnostic and operative techniques. He regularly presents at national and international conferences, contributing to the advancement of hip surgery. His surgical outcomes are routinely reviewed by peers, ensuring that he maintains the highest standards of care and continues to deliver excellent results for his patients.

Mr Pearson was extremely sympathetic to my symptoms. He explained everything clearly and in a way I could understand. I never felt rushed and came away feeling listened to and understood.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm pleased that you feel that you were listened to and not rushed into any decisions regarding your care.
My total hip replacement has been an outstanding success. The operation has been transformative, and I thoroughly recommend Andrew Pearson to anyone considering hip replacement surgery. Within days of the surgery there was a dramatic improvement and reduction in pain. I am genuinely grateful for the amazing results. Five months on I am now fully active and mobile with no restrictions. The excellent result is due to Andrew’s phenomenal and extraordinary expertise.

Thank you for you generous feedback. I'm pleased that your surgery has achieved everything you wanted.
I was reluctant at first to have the hip rerplacement operation, hence rescheduled 2 times (Dec 24 and Feb 25) and evenly had it done on the 3rd occasion (May 25). Mr Pearson was very patient with me as I wanted to continue trying the physio which relieved the symptoms but the discomfort remained. On the day of the op I was very anxious, yet My Person and his anaesthetist, including the nursing staff were great in keeping me calm and reassuring me. The operation when to plan and I was back in my room within less than 3 hours. I was made to stand and take a few steps late that afternoon, which was a great relief as I could manage to go to the toilet. The aftercare was great, there were a couple of occasions where I needed to seek guidance from Mr Pearson, so emailed his secretary who got to me straight away. The Priory at Edgbaston were excellent, can't fault the pre, during and post care.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m so pleased that with support from the whole team you were able to go through with your hip replacement surgery and are already feeling the benefits.
Mr Pearson was very informative & professional putting my mind completely at ease.

Thank you for your feedback.
I am nearly 84 years old and Mr Pearson has given me my 2 hips replacements over the last few years. I have had no problems and both hips are working well. I would certainly recommend him to anyone wanting a hip replacement and willing to do the exercises required before and after the replacement. It's like a new life. Well worth doing with a good surgeon.

Thank you for your helpful feedback. I'm pleased that your hip replacements are living up to your expectations.
Very informative and professional

Thank you for your feedback.
The hip stuck out before and after the op and the physio exercises helped so much. Mr Pearson advised me to try to stand up straight to help the joints. I do try to do this though upright posture continues to give me some difficulty.

Thank you for your feedback. Keep up with your exercises to help strengthen the muscles around your hip and lower back.
Excellent experience from all the team.

Thank you for your positive feedback.
Both Andrew Pearson and all the staff at the Hospital provide a superb service and went the extra mile . If a very minor observation sometimes various functions didn't always link together.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry if your experience from different team members hasn’t felt as ‘joined up’ as you would have liked. It would be interesting to know exactly what the problem was so I can try and rectify it.
An excellent experience with Andrew Pearson. He was extremely efficient and clear with communication from start to finish.

Thank you for your positive feedback. I’m glad having your hip replaced was a good experience.
