About Mr Ahmad Dabbagh
Mr Ahmad Dabbagh is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon. He is based at Kingston Hospital, where he runs both NHS and private clinics. He specialises in Paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus (squint) management, including Botox injections. He also has a specialist interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery.
Mr Dabbagh completed his medical training at the University of Damascus in Syria, before undertaking further training in ophthalmology in the UK. He came to UK in 1994. He trained at a number of renowned institutes including Princess Alexandra's Eye Pavilion in Edinburgh, St Bartholomew's Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Following this, he completed a fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Great Ormond Street in Londonin 2009. In 2011, he was appointed Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon to Kingston Hospital, where he has remained since.

I am so very grateful. Mr Dabbagh is a NHS treasure . There are so very few doctors who are prepared to treat children as children. My son will always speak about Mr Dabbagh as his hero that saved his eye.
Mr Dabbagh is an amazing clinician. He has the rare ability to make sick children listen and smile. My 5 year old son was in a lot of pain and Mr Dabbagh looked after him so well. My son George talks about him as he is his hero that saved his eye. But most importantly I need to say he is a very knowledgeable clinician with so many years of experience . We are very grateful to him for all his care and expert knowledge.
Dr Dabbagh had a patronising bed side manner. Showed us unnecessary footage on his phone of eye injections being given and was very pushy to book us in to have Botox asap. Even made my daughter cry once we were back in the waiting room by telling us that because she had already had surgery she could not have any more! Awful experience.
Since our son was 6 years old adicto Ahmad has been taken care of his squint. At the age of 9 Doctor Ahmad did surgery to rectify his squint. Our son is now 10 years old and the operation was a real success. We could not be happier and pleased. Amazing!!! We can not recommend high enough Doctor Ahmad. Thank you

Very knowledgeable and clearly experienced in his field, he is excellent with young children and putting them at ease, as well as the parents, in what can be really difficult circumstances.
Mr Dabbagh has been very friendly and caring whilst seeing our daughter (who was two when she was first his patient). He has taken the time to answer our questions and reassure us, and has advised us with her best interests in mind. Unfortunately her procedure needed to be moved a few times (due to issues outside any of our control) and he worked with us to rearrange it asap. Thank you, Mr Dabbagh!
Mr Dabbagh was extremely kind and explained everything at detail to my mum he reassured her and put her mind at rest. She was extremely worried but he explained everything until my mum understood.
