Dr Monica Sookdeo

Dr. Monica Sookdeo is a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry with a passion for working holistically and incorporating awareness of the biopsychosocial aspects of a patient's case. Her interest in psychiatry started during medical school when she realised the uniqueness of this discipline, allowing her to develop meaningful doctor-patient relationships and gain a deeper understanding of individuals.

Throughout her career, Dr. Sookdeo has worked with patients with various mental health conditions, including psychosis, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and eating disorders. She also has special interests in ADHD and co-morbid substance misuse. Her dedication to General Adult Psychiatry since 2003 showcases her commitment to this field.

Dr. Sookdeo holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) obtained in 1999 and a Master of Science (MSc) in Psychiatry completed in 2016. She provides comprehensive assessments and a holistic approach to patient care.
