Dr Mohan Arkanath

Dr Mohan Arkanath is a consultant nephrologist and general physician with clinical expertise across kidney disease management, acute internal medicine, and hypertension. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Mysore (1992), Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK, 2000), and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP Edin, 2007).

His renal practice encompasses the diagnosis and medical management of chronic kidney disease (CKD), proteinuria, microscopic haematuria, vasculitis, polycystic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, acute kidney injury, and renal replacement therapies, including haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. He is listed on the General Medical Council (GMC Reference Number: 4784146) Specialist Register for General (Internal) Medicine and Renal Medicine, having been awarded his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2007.

With over 15 years of consultant-level experience across acute NHS trusts and private practice, Dr Arkanath serves as a Consultant Nephrologist and Physician at Milton Keynes University Hospital and Oxford University Hospitals, while consulting privately at The Saxon Clinic and Three Shires Hospital. He actively contributes to clinical education, having previously served as a Training Programme Director for Nephrology training and Assistant Professor, and maintains professional membership with the Renal Association (UK).
