Mr Michael Robert Norton

Mr Michael Robert Norton is a registered specialist in Oral Surgery. Their practice has been a leading centre for dental implants in the United Kingdom for over 25 years. In 2007, they were awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, without examination, for their contribution to the field of implant dentistry.

Mr Norton graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine Dental School in Cardiff in 1988. They received further training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at St. Thomas Hospital London, and the Royal London Hospital and subsequently fulfilled the General Dental Council requirements to be certified as a specialist in Oral Surgery.

Mr Norton was the first non-American President of the US-based Academy of Osseointegration (AO) in 2017 and also President of the Association of Dental Implantology (UK) in 2000. They are Associate Editor of the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants (JOMI) and also serve as a referee for a number of other peer-review journals. Mr Norton is widely published in the literature including one of the earliest Quintessence textbooks on the subject published in 1995.
