About Mr Mike Adams
Mr Mike Adams is a Consultant Ophthalmologist seeing private patients at The Chiltern Hospital in Manchester and The Shelburne Hospital in High Wycombe. He has special interests in the management of external, corneal and conjunctival eye diseases and cataracts.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Cambridge in 2002, followed by his clinical training at Addenbrooke's Hospital. After qualifying, he began his specialist training at Kent County Ophthalmic Hospital, one of the oldest eye hospitals in the UK, as well as St Thomas', Queen Victoria, Oxford Eye Hospitals and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Mr Adams later completed an honorary fellowship in corneal and external eye diseases at Moorfield's Eye Hospital and received his Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2014. In 2016, he was appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust where he currently leads the corneal and cataract services.
In his current clinical practice, Mr Adams sees patients with a broad range of eye conditions including: myopia and hyperopia, presbyopia, astigmatism, eyelid cyst, keratoconus and cataracts. He has expertise in the treatment and management of these conditions, including: corneal transplant, refractive lens replacement surgery and eyelid cyst removal.

The consultation with doctor Mike was so insightful and reassuring. He first listened to my symptoms very intently, later on he took that extra mile to draw the eye layers to explain the symptoms and the procedure needed to address the issue. Overall an amazing session for any worried patient to see that reassuring words coming from the doctor to feel safe and in good hands.
Mr Mike Adams has treated me for cataract surgery and lazer treatment. Mike made me feel at ease, the actual surgery was both quick and painless. Mike was exceptionally excellent. He was consistently asking if I was ok while undergoing the treatment, constantly encouraging me and telling me that I was doing well.
