Dr Maria Martinou

Dr Maria Martinou is a dedicated Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in the non-surgical treatment of urological and head and neck cancers. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2007. She subsequently completed extensive specialist training in clinical oncology across prestigious London centers, rotating through Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, where she also completed a prestigious two-year fellowship in developmental therapeutics.

Dr Martinou is deeply involved in clinical research and academic oncology. Her research focuses on evaluating novel systemic therapies and advanced radiotherapy techniques designed to improve outcomes in head and neck and urological malignancies. Bringing her clinical research directly into practice, she serves as the principal investigator for several national and international clinical trials aimed at translating novel therapeutic approaches into standard patient care.
