About Dr Manmeet Matharoo
Dr Manmeet Matharoo is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist with specialist interests in colorectal endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and patient safety. She assesses and treats both common and complex gastrointestinal symptoms and conditions.

Dr Matharoo is actively involved in research and education in endoscopy. Her published work includes research on endoscopy quality and safety, and she teaches endoscopy internationally through professional education programmes. She has also received the St Mark's John Nicholls Research Prize for her doctoral research.
Professional activities include representing the British Society of Gastroenterology on the Royal College of Physicians Patient Safety Committee and serving as an Associate Editor of Frontline Gastroenterology.

Dr Manmeet Matharoo made sure I fully understood the risks involved with my colonoscopy. She took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently, including the risks, and whenever I didn’t understand something, she explained it again in a way that was easier for me to understand. She also checked on me regularly to see how I was feeling and to make sure I was comfortable and understood what was happening. I felt that she genuinely cared about my wellbeing and wanted to ensure that I was fully informed and aware of the risks before proceeding.
