Mrs Maire McGuire

Marie McGuire is a highly experienced therapist with a background in social work services spanning 30 years. Her expertise lies in the field of addiction services. For the last 12 years of her career, Marie was part of Glasgow Addiction Services, where she played a pivotal role in managing and implementing specialised addiction interventions and recovery support programs. 

Marie is dedicated to her work, and continues to seek professional and educational development. She has studied Drug and Alcohol Addictions, with a focus on policy and intervention, at Glasgow University. Additionally, she has completed training in Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) at Miami University, which is a therapeutic approach often used in the treatment of substance abuse and related issues.

In 2004, Marie earned her qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a widely recognised therapeutic approach. Her expertise in CBT is further demonstrated by her involvement in tutoring the CBT honours degree course in Glasgow for nearly a decade. Marie's commitment to education and training ensures that she remains at the forefront of evidence-based practices in the field of addiction and mental health treatment.
