Ms Lauren Steingold

Lauren Steingold is a Clinical Psychologist based in London, who conducts her practice online. She specialises in helping those with anxiety, depression, low-self esteem, emotional dysregulation, and those who have experienced trauma. She has a particular interest in working with individuals with chronic pain and long-term health conditions, and is also able to work with neurodiverse people. She works with adults over the age of 18, and also with couples struggling with communication breakdown, intimacy issues, infidelity, sexual difficulties and other concerns. In her work, Lauren utilises an accepting and non-judgemental approach, and values being able to help those she works with find freedom from suffering and maladaptive behaviours.

Lauren qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in South Africa in 2011 from the University of Cape Town, and then moved to the UK in 2015 where she worked in the NHS for 7 years. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, and her approach to clinical psychology is integrative. She draws from a variety of methodologies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focussed Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. With those suffering from chronic pain, she is able to practice Pain Reprocessing Therapy. Her training in a variety of methods allows her to tailor her approach to best fit each individual she is working with.

Lauren also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Yoga Psychology, and has extensive training in EMDR. She also works with MS-UK to offer group support for those living with MS, and is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain. Outside of her clinical practice, she also offers training and clinical supervision to help others develop their clinical skills.
