Ms Lauren Jacobs

Lauren Jacobs is a Psychotherapist and Trainee Counselling Psychologist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and undertaking a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Roehampton, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).

Lauren provides evidence-based, compassionate, and collaborative therapy, creating a safe and inclusive environment for clients to explore their experiences, develop self-awareness, and work towards meaningful personal change. She adheres to the ethical frameworks of both the BACP and BPS, ensuring a professional and supportive approach to care.

She holds master’s degrees in Psychology and Counselling Psychology, and her doctoral research focuses on trauma, identity, and internalised racism among marginalised groups in the UK. Alongside her clinical practice, Lauren has contributed to academic teaching, delivering lectures on race, difference, and practitioner wellbeing to psychology trainees and professionals.

With over seven years of experience across NHS services, community organisations, mental health charities, and private practice, Lauren supports clients with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, eating disorders, and identity-related challenges.

Her integrative therapeutic approach combines Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centred Therapy, offering flexible, personalised support tailored to each individual’s needs and goals.
