About Dr. Kunal Gadhvi
Mr Kunal Gadhvi is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Clinical Partner with subspecialist expertise in corneal and refractive surgery. He is a fully accredited laser and refractive surgeon and holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Laser Refractive and Cataract Surgery. His clinical practice focuses on delivering safe, patient-centred care through the integration of advanced surgical techniques and evidence-based innovations.
A graduate of Imperial College London with distinction, Mr Gadhvi has over a decade of surgical experience, including five years at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Europe’s largest specialist eye centre. During his tenure at The Royal Liverpool Hospital, he introduced laser-assisted corneal transplantation and laser cross-linking, establishing the hospital as one of the few centres in the UK to offer these advanced treatments.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Gadhvi serves as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Liverpool, contributing to ophthalmic education and mentoring the next generation of eye specialists. The procedure was quick & efficient but there was a lot of hanging about prior to this.
I had lens replacement surgery. The surgery went well, and I could read my kindle the very next day (no glasses)! There was no pain either during or after the surgery. The surgeon was amazing and talked me through every step. I'm so glad I had it done!
It was well worth having an additional appointment with the consultant before any treatment, to decide which lenses would be the best for me. Both procedures were carried out smoothly and efficiently, resulting in near perfect vision. It is definitely not something to worry about and is certainly worth it, as I don’t need any specs or contact lenses anymore 👍
