Ms Kate Pleace

Nurse Kate Pleace is a highly accomplished Fertility and Menopause Specialist Nurse with extensive experience in women's health. She has expertise in gynaecology, early pregnancy, fertility, and menopause. Currently, she works independently, providing support to employers and patients, and serves as a nurse educator, managing the women's health pathway for the MSc in Specialist Nursing at Dublin City University.

Kate is deeply passionate about fertility and menopause, with specialist interests in premature ovarian insufficiency, fertility preservation, and egg donation. She holds a Master’s degree in Reproductive Medicine from the University of South Wales and has completed numerous postgraduate modules in gynaecology, fertility, sexual health, and counselling. Her clinical skills include training in pelvic scanning for fertility and early pregnancy, further enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive care.

In addition to her clinical work, Kate is pursuing a PhD at the Centre for Reproductive Research at De Montfort University, Leicester. Her doctoral research focuses on the lived experiences of women with premature menopause, highlighting her commitment to advancing understanding and care in this critical area of women's health.

Kate’s academic contributions include her role as an Assistant Professor in Ambulatory Gynaecology at the School of Nursing, Psychotherapy, and Community Health at Dublin City University. Her teaching and research focus on women's health, fertility, and menopause.
