Ms Karen Chan

Ms. Karen Chan is an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) based at Roodlane Medical. With over 15 years of experience, she has been providing expert care to a diverse range of patients, including corporate clients and those with sporting injuries or postural pain.

As an Extended Scope Practitioner since 2014, Ms Chan’s responsibilities include assessing patients, planning their treatment pathways, and ordering imaging such as x-rays, MRI, or ultrasound when necessary. She also refers patients to consultants for further management if appropriate.

Additionally, Ms. Chan works as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, providing high-quality care to clients. Her expertise in managing sporting injuries and postural pain makes her a valuable resource for younger populations seeking rehabilitation and recovery.

Ms Chan also contributed to patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, she was temporarily redeployed as an in-patient physiotherapist at The Princess Grace Hospital. During this time, she managed a caseload of general surgery and orthopaedic patients, with a focus on NHS COVID response cancer patients.

Ms Chan completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physiotherapy at King's College London in 2000. She continued her professional development by obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Physiotherapy from the University of Hertfordshire.
