Jude McDowell

Jude McDowell is a highly experienced Senior Physiotherapist with over two decades of expertise in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation. She qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 2002 from the University of Ulster and began her career in the NHS in Belfast. In 2005, she moved to New Zealand, where she gained valuable experience working in Rugby Union and private practice.

Upon returning to the UK, Jude worked in private healthcare in Central London and with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in the South of England before settling in York. She rejoined the NHS, where she now specialises in musculoskeletal conditions and orthopaedic rehabilitation, with a particular focus on treating children and adolescents. She also serves as the lead physiotherapist for York RUFC (Rugby Union Football Club).

Jude holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Physiotherapy and has extensive experience in soft tissue therapy, taping, joint mobilisation, tendon rehabilitation, gait analysis, and biomechanical assessments. Her expertise ensures tailored diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for patients of all ages, from young athletes to adults managing long-term conditions.
