Ian Griffiths is a highly qualified Podiatrist with over 20 years of experience. Following his first degree in Podiatric Medicine, he completed a postgraduate certificate in Sports Podiatry, followed by a Master’s degree in Sports Injury. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Podiatry and also a Fellow in Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Glasgow).

In addition to his clinical work, Ian works as Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University of London, where he leads the biomechanics module on the MSc program. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer on the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.

Ian has specialist expertise in overuse injury mechanisms, human movement analysis, foot orthoses, and footwear. He consults for several professional/elite sports teams and athletes across football, rugby, cricket and golf and was part of the Podiatric Sports Medicine team based within the athletes village for the London 2012 Olympic Games. He has lectured worldwide on topics related to lower limb biomechanics and foot orthoses. Ian continues to contribute to the field through his ongoing research publications, and also serves as a peer reviewer for various sports injury and physical therapy journals.

Ian is a fantastic podiastrist with immense knowledge and experience which helps him tread the fine line between when to intervene with footwear changes and orthotics. I value his input greatly and know my patients are in good hands when they see him.
