Miss Heba Mahdy

Miss Heba Mahdy is a Consultant Obstetrician with special interests in Maternal & Foetal Medicine and 14 years of experience. She currently sees patients at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

Miss Mahdy completed her medical degree at Alexandria University, Egypt in 2004 followed by her registrar training in obstetrics and gynaecology. She completed her Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2011 and became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2015. She also holds a Master's degree in Obstetric Ultrasound and Fetal Medicine from University College London, UK in 2023.

Miss Mahdy later completed a Fellowship in Advanced Obstetrics at the University of Toronto and Mount Sinai Hospital in Canada, as well as a Clinical Fellowship in Obstetric Ultrasound and Foetal Medicine at University College London Hospital.

Miss Mahdy has several years of experience in managing a busy labour ward and conducting complicated deliveries, including vaginal delivery, primary caesarean delivery and repeat caesarean deliveries. She also has experience in abdominal subtota, total and vaginal hysterectomy procedures.

Alongside her clinical expertise, Miss Mahdy has special interests in global women's health and medical education.

Dr Mahdy had conducted several courses in Obstetric emergencies and she is a basic and advanced life support in Obstetrics instructo. 

Dr Mahdy travelled to Kenya, Sudan and the Middle East to reach basic and ad obstetric ultrasound.
