About Mr Sherif Hosny
Mr Hosny graduated in 2006 with a distinction from Royal Free and University College London Medical School. He completed specialist training in the South West London region and has trained at a number of major trauma centres including St Georges Hospital in London and the John Radcliffe in Oxford. He was awarded fellowships at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC) and post-CCT fellowships at Frimley Park Hospital, St Marys Hospital and the prestigious Bournemouth and Poole Hip Fellowship. During his training and fellowships he has worked with world renowned hip surgeons and allied specialists. He has presented and published international papers and book chapters and is actively involved in academia and medical education.
Mr Hosny has almost 20 years experience and is today appointed at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Specialist Hip Surgeon.
Mr Hosny is solely focused on hip pathologies. His scope of practice includes hip osteoarthritis, hip replacement, resurfacing, revision, and peri-prosthetic surgery. Mr Hosny also has a specialist interest in young adult hip preservation and arthroscopic surgery as well as non-surgical treatments.

Mr Hosny, the care I received from him has been excellent, he is professional, friendly, and extremely thorough with explanations throughout my whole hip replacement journey, I would highly recommend him to anyone.
I saw Mr.Hosny and immediately knew I was in the safest most capable hands. His expertise and knowledge is second to none and his reassurance allowed me to undergo my operation without fear. It was a shock to say the least that I needed both my hips replaced at a ‘youngish’ age but Mr. Hosny helped me to understand the long term benefits. I am delighted with the results and I am now able to resume my life keeping fit and playing tennis.
This was the first time I had been in hospital and I felt very comfortable with everything that was happening
