Dr Guy Stewart

Dr Guy Stewart is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over a decade of clinical experience in both the NHS and private sectors. His path to medicine was unconventional; he grew up in rural Cornwall and worked in print journalism and international teaching before pursuing a career in psychiatry. Consequently, his previous background in journalism and teaching has enhanced his communication skills, cultural insight, and ability to build strong rapport with young people.

He completed his graduate medical training (MBBS) and holds an MSc in War & Psychiatry, alongside a BA in English Literature. Dr Stewart is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and trained as a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. 

Currently, he provides specialist psychiatric evaluations and tailored treatment plans via The Pelican Clinic (thepelicanclinic.co.uk). Known for his relaxed and approachable clinical manner, Dr Stewart excels in putting children and families at ease, building strong therapeutic relationships to identify and effectively manage mental health needs.
