About Mr Gurdip Chahal
Mr Gurdip Chahal is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery, with expertise spanning sports injuries, arthroscopic and minimally invasive procedures, ligament reconstruction, diabetic foot surgery, and complex deformity correction. He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (BOFAS) and is nationally recognised for his advanced surgical skills and patient-focused care.
Mr Chahal completed his undergraduate medical degree and surgical training entirely within the UK, following the prestigious Warwick Orthopaedic Surgical Training Programme, where he was one of only two surgeons selected nationally for the Orthopaedic Academic Foundation Programme. Over the course of his eight years of specialist training in Warwickshire and the West Midlands, he became highly experienced in both trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery.
He subsequently undertook a fellowship in the Sheffield Foot and Ankle Unit (SFAU), gaining expert-level training under leading surgeons including Mr Chris Blundell, Mr Mark Davies, Ms Sarah Chadwick, Mr Howard Davies, and Mr Mark Flowers. His training covered the full spectrum of foot and ankle procedures, including ankle replacements, Charcot reconstructions, arthritis management, and keyhole techniques.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Chahal remains active in orthopaedic research through the Warwick Hospital Research and Development Group, contributing to innovations that continue to advance surgical outcomes in foot and ankle care.

Arrived at Nuffield, checked in with very pleasant receptionist, I was offered refreshments, before even had time to drink my coffee Mr Chapal came to greet me and showed me to his consultation room. After some, brief formalities Mr Chapal very quickly identified the problem and proposed how he would proceed to solve. Found Mr Chapal to be very knowledgeable, charming and left you feeling confident in his abilities moving forward.
I was reviewed by Mr Chahal for my long‑standing insertional Achilles tendinopathy. He was extremely courteous throughout the consultation and provided a clear, structured explanation of my condition. He outlined the available treatment options in detail and described the postoperative rehabilitation process in a very comprehensive manner. I found him to be both helpful and understanding and I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Chahal to friends and family.
Fantastic appointment with Mr. Chahal explained everything clearly and then talk to me through the treatment plan.

Injection under ultrasound carried out very professionally. I was expecting a follow up letter after the injection on Sept the3rd Mr Chalal also very kindly said he would transfer me to his Warwick clinic for further follow up and care. I have not hard about either.
