Are you Grace McDowell?
Dr. Grace McDowell is a Consultant Respiratory Physician and Sleep Specialist currently practicing at Ross Hall Clinic, Braehead, and Ross Hall Hospital, Crookston. She graduated with an MB BCh from Queen’s University Belfast in 2009 and completed her foundation training in NHS Tayside, followed by specialty training in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Her clinical practice covers general respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, severe COPD with respiratory failure, bronchiectasis, and chronic cough. In sleep medicine, she manages obstructive sleep apnoea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, circadian rhythm disorders, parasomnias, and narcolepsy, and has recently expanded her expertise to sleep disorders related to menopause.
Dr. McDowell completed her MD at Glasgow University, focusing on respiratory failure in severe COPD, advanced physiology, wearables, and remote monitoring. Her research was supported by the Lane Fox Unit at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, and has been presented nationally and internationally. As well as this she is a member of the British Thoracic Society, British Sleep Society, British Medical Association, European Respiratory Society, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Outside of medicine, Dr. McDowell enjoys running, skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and hill walking with her two children.
