Mr Gilbert Nenohwe

Mr Gilbert Nenohwe is a registered mental health nurse and non medical prescriber with over 20 years of experience in both NHS and private healthcare, Gilbert Nenohwe is a highly skilled Registered Mental Health Nurse and Non-Medical Prescriber. He specialises in supporting individuals facing addictions, mental health crises, and dual-diagnosis conditions, working with patients across hospital, community, and home-based settings.

Throughout his career, Gilbert has held senior roles in substance misuse services, crisis resolution and home treatment teams, and drug and alcohol liaison within acute hospitals. He has extensive experience helping people safely detox from alcohol, opiates, and other substances, combining evidence-based treatments with relapse prevention strategies, harm-reduction education, and personalised aftercare planning.

Gilbert is also highly experienced in complex mental health assessment and care coordination, particularly for individuals living with severe mental illness alongside substance misuse. His approach is recovery-focused, compassionate, and centred on each person’s unique needs and circumstances.

Currently practicing at Assured Healthcare and Wellness, Gilbert provides holistic, patient-centred care that looks beyond symptoms to support long-term wellbeing. Outside of work, Gilbert enjoys sport, fitness training, and spending quality time with his family.
