Dr. Georgina Forbes

Dr Georgina Forbes is a Specialist Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare based in South Wales, with expertise in contraception, sexual health, and the management of sexually transmitted infections. She specialises in coil and implant procedures, complex contraception, sexual health testing, and personalised reproductive healthcare.

Dr Forbes graduated from the Peninsula School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009. She developed a specialist interest in women’s health following experience in obstetrics and gynaecology and has worked in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare since 2011.

Over her career, she has progressed to the senior grade of Specialist Doctor and leads medically complex contraception services within her NHS role. She holds both the Diploma of Genitourinary Medicine and the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.

Dr Forbes has held coil and implant procedure qualifications since 2013 and became a registered trainer with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in 2017. She is passionate about education and regularly teaches healthcare professionals, delivering local and national lectures on contraception and sexual health.
