Dr Gemma McCormick

Dr Gemma McCormick is an accomplished Consultant Clinical Oncologist who provides compassionate and evidence-based care for patients diagnosed with cancer. With a clinical focus on breast cancer and thyroid cancer, Dr McCormick works closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualised, comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. Her patient-centred approach ensures that individuals feel thoroughly supported, informed, and reassured throughout every stage of their treatment journey.

Dr McCormick completed her pre-clinical medical studies at the University of Cambridge before completing her clinical training at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2009. Following her core medical training, she attained membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and completed specialist training in oncology. During her postgraduate education, she earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Oncology as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ethics and Law. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR).

Her clinical practice encompasses the management of both early and metastatic breast cancer, as well as thyroid malignancies. As a skilled Clinical Oncologist, Dr McCormick administers targeted therapeutic interventions including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She maintains a dedicated interest in medical ethics, alongside an active role in clinical research, serving as a Principal Investigator for clinical trials to help advance modern cancer care and refine treatment pathways for her patients.
