Dr Gavin Webb-Wilson graduated from Cambridge and joined the original Lloyds practice in 1979 before becoming a founder partner of the present practice in 1991. He is also a specialist in gynaecology and works at Roodlane Medical practice and London Bridge Hospital.

Dr Webb-Wilson has an interest is in stress-related disorders and psychological medicine. He has special expertise in the field of life and health insurance, particularly in disability assessment and high-risk life underwriting. He is also the chief medical officer for Scottish Re and a Fellow of the Assurance Medical Society. Additionally, he is an examiner for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency under the Merchant Shipping Regulations for the UK and for Oil & Gas UK offshore workers.
