Gail O'Brien is a highly experienced mental health nurse with a dedicated focus on supporting young people with disordered eating. With over 20 years of specialisation in eating disorders, Gail brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Schoen Clinic Chelsea.
Joining the team in 2021, Gail works with children and adolescents within the highly specialised program for young people with eating disorders. Her extensive experience spans across both the private sector and the NHS, including inpatient units, outpatient services, and day patient services.
Gail's expertise extends to various types of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, and other specified feeding and eating disorders (OSFED). She is trained in Family-Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa (FT/AN), a specialised therapeutic approach for treating adolescents with anorexia.
