About Dr Farhan Khalid
Dr Farhan Khalid is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with additional expertise in facial plastics and head and neck surgery. He holds dual primary qualifications in medicine and dentistry.
Dr Khalid followed the recognised UK training pathway in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, completing comprehensive surgical training that encompassed trauma, pathology, reconstructive surgery and functional care. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FRCS OMFS) and Fellowship of the European Board of Oro-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Head & Neck Surgery (FEBOMFS-HNS).
In addition to core OMFS training, Dr Khalid has completed advanced postgraduate training in facial plastic surgery accredited by the European Association for Cranio-Maxillo-Facial Surgery. This programme included structured academic study, cadaveric dissection and supervised clinical experience in reconstructive and aesthetic facial techniques.
Dr Khalid currently holds NHS consultant posts at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He works within multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver coordinated care for patients requiring oral, maxillofacial, facial plastic and head and neck surgery, with practice informed by current clinical standards and evidence-based approaches.
