Dr. Elspeth Giles

Dr Elspeth Giles is an experienced General Practitioner with a specialist interest in women’s health and menopause management. She qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS) from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1997 and went on to gain the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG). She became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2002, reflecting her commitment to high standards in primary care.

Dr Giles has built a long-standing career within the NHS, where she has worked both as a salaried GP and as a GP partner in the North West of England. Through these roles, she has developed broad clinical expertise in all aspects of general practice while maintaining a particular focus on supporting women through hormonal and menopause-related concerns. She continues to practise within the NHS alongside her role at Private GP Extra, providing accessible, patient-centred care.

Known for her approachable and compassionate style, Dr Giles is dedicated to helping patients make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys walking her dog, cooking, and reading historical books, interests that help her maintain a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.
