I’m a Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology with a passion for helping people take control of their health and feel confident in managing their condition. I graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2009 and spent time working in a range of specialties in Australia before returning to complete my specialist training in Diabetes and Endocrinology, finishing in 2020. I now work as a substantive consultant in the Western Health and Social Care Trust.
I care for adults with a wide range of hormonal and metabolic conditions, including:
- Diabetes (Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3c) and blood glucose monitoring
- Thyroid problems (overactive, underactive, and thyroid nodules)
- Men’s health, including testosterone deficiency
- Pituitary and adrenal disorders (including Addison’s disease)
- Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
- Blood pressure problems
- Calcium and bone health, including vitamin D deficiency and primary hyperparathyroidism
- Weight management, including advice and prescribing weight loss injectable
treatments
