Dr. Edward Bataillard

Dr Bataillard is a gifted consultant. I trusted him immediately to choose the best possible treatment for me and I owe him my prompt recovery from Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He is a good listener and I felt supported throughout the treatment as well as in my yearly reviews. I was kept well informed from the very first appointment and his confidence in the treatment made it a lot more bearable psychologically. I feel very lucky indeed and privileged to have been his patient.

This was a follow up appt after completing a course of radiotherapy. As always Dr Bataillard was very welcoming and put me at ease. He explained the next step in my treatment and my prognosis going forward.

I feel lucky to be under the care of Dr Bataillard. He is an expert in his field. He always has time to clearly answer questions and ensures that I understand what he has said. He always takes the time to say hello to his patients, even if it's in passing in the communal areas of the hospital.

He listen to us vary patiently and explain all the factors in relation of my illness, so supportive and helping.

Dr. Bataillard has been very professional from first meeting, he offers professional insight, experience and ongoing support. I feel very confident in his skills and have had excellent care from him and his team of professionals at Hammersmith hospital. He has taken interest in all stages of my care. Excellent.

As soon as Dr Bataillard took control of my care I felt very confident in the plan as he has taken great care to explain why things need to happen and what to expect. I know how much work he does for me ‘behind the scenes’ too as he is always keeping me up to date with his current thinking. I am very grateful to have had him looking out for me.

Both my Wife, who always accompanies me in every step of life including this difficult journey that brought us to Dr. Bataillard, and I have always felt privileged to be a patient of Dr. Bataillard’s.

I met Dr Bataillard in clinic in June 2023 presenting with various symptoms including a lump in my neck and another under my left arm. Dr Bataillard immediately diagnosed lymphoma in clinic which was confirmed by biopsy a week later. He ordered a CT scan followed by an immediate start to a 4 month course of chemotherapy at CW hospital. There is no question that his prompt diagnosis and the particular course of chemotherapy he designed for me saved my life.in my view he is an exceptional doctor who has an all encompassing knowledge of his field of medicine and his prompt diagnosis and subsequent treatment plan saved my life. As far as I am concerned, he is the go to doctor for haematology, and although he has since changed hospitals, I visited him once last year and intend to stay in touch with him going forward. I can’t speak highly enough of him.

Dr Edward Bataillard diagnosed my cancer, and he managed my one-year therapy. Every appointment with him helped me to accept my state and filled me with the belief that I am in the hands of a great specialist who truly cares about his patients. I am incredibly grateful to have him as my doctor.
