A very capable lovely man that listens

After spending weeks comparing medical practices online to find a private doctor, I zero'd in on The London General Practice (based on a number of factors) and was fortunate enough to have Dr Sanjay Mehta assigned to my partner and me. I can say Dr Mehta has set a new bar for me in terms of medical professionalism, attention to detail, listening to my issues, providing good advice and personal follow-up. He was able to accommodate our personal needs and, at the same time, make sure they gave us a complete understanding of what he would recommend and why. There was never any pressure and everything was explained upfront before the well planned medical procedures were done. I am very pleased and happy I found him for the long term.

I have been a patient at the London General Practice in Harley Street for some years now, and under the care of Catrin Bevan. I had some urgent need of advice following an unwelcome DEXA Scan that I had - CB was away - she recommended that I see Sanjay Mehta. This was our first time of meeting and I found him an extremely personable and professional individual. It was clear from the start of our meeting that Sanjay had been through my internal file quite carefully and appraised himself of my historic background. He listened carefully to the new matter that I needed to talk through with him - it was clear also that he had thought about this situation as well. He was careful to articulate the areas where he was competent to advise and the areas which were outside his realms of expertise. He then gave me his advise based on his own professional knowledge and recommended a series of different blood tests to be carried out at the LGP - organised for a series of X-Rays to be carried out very swiftly in Devonshire Street - and then introduced me to two specialists - a surgeon known as Parag Sayal, and a physician known as Professor Keen. I took Sanjay's advice and have met both of these individuals - first class professionals - in connection with what at the end of the day is a difficult condition that I have contracted. Sanjay then followed up of his own volition to see how things were going, and at what I would call times of the day outside normal working hours. In conclusion I would describe him as a very competent and personable physician.

Sanjay is a phenomenal Dr, which we feel very lucky and privileged to have his support and help throughout life and he goes above and beyond for us, and follows through with support and advice even after referrals.

An excellent experience. A great deal of time taken by Dr Mehta to understand my full medical history and a genuine interest in my well being. The report that I received was very detailed and he took great care to ensure that I understood all the findings. I have been very impressed both with Dr Mehta and the London General Practice.

I have a lot of confidence in Sanjay. He always explains things clearly, his advice makes sense and is actionable. It's also helpful that I have been able to see him over multiple years - and can therefore discuss trends as well as point data.
