Dr Sam Bennett

Dr Sam Bennett is an experienced General Practitioner with a diverse clinical background spanning general practice, orthopaedic surgery, occupational medicine, and specialist medical services. He graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2001 and completed his initial surgical training in South Wales. After relocating to London, he pursued a career in Orthopaedics, progressing to Registrar level before transitioning into General Practice.

Prior to joining The London General Practice, Dr Bennett worked as an NHS GP in Hampton Court and later as a Private GP for BUPA, gaining extensive experience across both public and private healthcare settings. This breadth of experience has provided him with a well-rounded clinical perspective and enables him to deliver personalised, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Alongside his work in General Practice, Dr Bennett is one of the practice’s lead Occupational Health Physicians. He works closely with businesses, corporate clients, and their employees, supporting workplace health and wellbeing through occupational health assessments, fitness-for-work evaluations, executive medicals, sickness absence management, and preventative healthcare programmes. He is passionate about helping organisations create healthier, more productive workplaces while supporting individuals in maintaining their long-term health and performance.

Dr Bennett has a particular interest in musculoskeletal medicine, drawing upon his orthopaedic training to diagnose and manage a wide range of bone, joint, and soft tissue conditions. He is also an accredited Aviation Medical Examiner (Class 2) for the Civil Aviation Authority, carrying out specialist medical assessments for pilots and aviation professionals.

His clinical interests include musculoskeletal medicine, occupational health, aviation medicine, preventative healthcare, and executive health screening. He provides a comprehensive range of services including health assessments, vaccinations, travel medicine, cryotherapy, occupational health services, and 24-hour on-call medical support.

Known for his pragmatic, approachable, and patient-centred style, Dr Bennett values the variety and continuity of care that general practice provides. His diverse training and extensive experience allow him to deliver comprehensive medical care while helping patients and organisations make informed decisions about their health, wellbeing, and long-term outcomes.
