Dr Iles is an experienced consultant psychiatrist who works part-time in private practice and part-time in the NHS. Dr. Iles qualified as a doctor in 2004 and went on to complete his postgraduate training in psychiatry in London, Oxford, Berkshire and South Wales before qualifying as a consultant in 2011. He has worked for South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, where he was involved in the set-up of an innovative pilot project, and for over four years he held the position as a consultant psychiatrist at St Andrew's Hospital in Northampton. More recently, he led a locked rehabilitation ward for women with personality disorders and disordered eating. Since August 2018, he has been employed by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust where he is responsible for overseeing patients with complex mental disorders and risk histories.
As well as treating mental illnesses and mental health problems, Dr Iles acts as an expert witness, providing expert evidence to the criminal and civil courts as well as several different tribunal settings.

Dr Iles is a well-mannered, supportive and positive psychiatrist. He is easy-going and has a relaxed demeanour which makes him very easy to talk to. I never feel judged or looked at differently no matter what I say, and he never fails to make me feel more positive after every interaction. He is always professional and respectful in his actions and words. I cannot praise him more highly for the effort he has put in to my recovery and help he has given me; I have improved and overcome so many challenges due to his positive nature and incredible understanding. He is incredibly intelligent in his views and always explains things in ways which I can understand but never condescendingly. He is amazing at his job.
