Dr. Vivek Mehta is a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation and Director of Pain Research at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London with a special interest in minimally invasive treatments for back, neck, and associated root symptoms.
- With a clinical practice and more than 20 years experience in Pain Medicine he has particular expertise in managing back and neck pain, sciatica, neuropathic pain syndrome, shoulder and rotator cuff pain, cluster headcahes and migraine.
- He is one of the pioneers in neuromodulation (spinal cord stimulation, multifidus stimulation and occipital stimulation) having set up the Barts Neuromodulation Unit.
- He has been appointed as the Chair of Royal Court of Examiners for Fellowship of Faculty of Pain Medicine and serves on the board of National Neromodulation Society of UK and Ireland as elected honorary Treasurer
- He is an eminent speaker and has over 70 published papers and >200 presentations.
- He has been appointed as Honorary Reader at William Harvey Research Institute at Queen Mary University.
