Dr Stephen Taylor

Dr. Stephen Taylor is a Specialist in Oral Surgery at South Coast Dental Specialists.

He graduated from Guy's Hospital Dental School in 1976 and was commissioned by the Royal Navy, whilst still a student. He remained at Guy's Hospital for 6 months undertaking a House Officers position in Oral Surgery. He then spent 18 years in the Royal Naval Dental Service which saw appointments at all three Naval Hospitals; Plymouth, Haslar (Gosport), and Gibraltar.

In 1987 Dr. Taylor returned to Guy's Hospital to study a Master's of Science Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and graduated with distinction in October 1988. After leaving the Royal Navy in 1995, he was appointed to the Maxillofacial Unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.

Dr. Taylor is a Fellow in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and has a membership to the recently designed diploma in surgical dentistry. He has extensive experience in implant placement and bone grafting, averaging in excess of 500 implant cases a year.
