Dr Liam Parsonage

Dr Liam Parsonage is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult Psychiatry currently working within the NHS as the Lead Consultant for community mental health services in NW Surrey. He is experienced in treating all adult mental health problems and he has a special interest in stress related conditions; mood disorders, including mood instability and bipolar affective disorder; personality problems; anxiety and OCD; and psychotic illnesses.

Dr Parsonage takes a holistic and recovery focussed approach in the assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties, offering an individually tailored treatment plan which combines the latest evidenced based pharmacological therapies with a psychological understanding of an emotional or mental health problem. His aim is to help his patients successfully achieve and maintain emotional stability and wellbeing.

Dr Parsonage completed his psychiatric training with the London Deanery in 2010 and he has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists since 2006. He gained his MBBS medical degree from University College Hospital and Royal Free Medical School in 2001, part of the University of London. Dr Parsonage completed his pre-clinical studies in 1997 at Oxford University, Queen's College, where he was awarded a first-class BA honours degree in physiological sciences.
