This was my 2nd c section (both planned)and experience was so much better than the last which was also a private birth. Scar: I had a previous scar that could have been lower by 1 cm it was curved upwards and 13 cm length. Dr Duncan was able to use the existing scar but now the cut is 12.5 cm straighter and the upwards curve was pulled down a bit. It has been 6 weeks and it looks OK, heals well. I wish I had my first cs with him. Recovery: I had great recovery and was on my legs in the afternoon of the surgery day (8am),and never in pain or in any discomfort-a big surprise after my last cs which I thought was OK in terms of recovery-I was wrong -you can have it better. Healthy baby and healthy & happy mum. Dr Duncan does a US scan at every appointment with baby measurements and metrics which is quite unique. He could offer a bit more explanation as to where the new scar would be placed and how it would look and inform about holiday plans and his cover for a peace of mind of the expecting patient-if I didn't ask I would not know. Overall l was happy with the outcome of the care and will return to Dr Duncan for the care for my 3rd (if we are lucky and brave enough to have the baby no.3)and use the same hospital (Portland).

A very positive experience of a c section with professional and attentive antenatal appointments.

We have had Keith Duncan carry out two elective caesarians, the first 5 years ago and the second more recently in August 2021. Keith is absolutely wonderful and amazing at carrying out the procedure. He is thorough at carrying out antenatal check ups. The C-Section itself has been a flawless experience. Perfect cosmetic finish with scar area, quick baby delivery, smooth recovery and Keith has a wonderful manner and professionalism which makes you feel perfectly safe. Absolutely amazing experience and we would highly recommend him.

The whole experience with Mr Duncan was amazing from start to finish. My pregnancy wasn't the most straight forward but he was always available anytime I had any questions or needed anything and he always put my mind at ease. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I am so thankful for his safe delivery of our twins.

Keith's care throughout my pregnancy, during delivery and beyond has been totally exceptional - his manner is fantastic and his judgement is second to none. I had an emergency delivery of premature twins and Keith acted with such precision and was so reassuring - it was clear that we were in the safest and most skilled hands - without Keith it could've been a very different story. Keith was very responsive, always available and has followed up my care and has also kept an eye on our twins in NICU - he goes above and beyond and we're so grateful. We recommend Keith without hesitation and would most definitely ask him to look after us again should we have another pregnancy in the future.

I came to see Dr Duncan relatively late around 26 weeks but it was still a smooth and pleasant process up to delivery and the delivery itself (elective c-section) was very straight forward and uncomplicated. Dr Duncan was very responsive when I emailed him during his holiday about some concerns and he reassured me and suggested to see him asap on his arrival. He also does all scans himself which is handy and saves time & concentrates the care with one consultant. In the theatre he was very focused but super calm and confident. The delivery was smooth and a very positive experience with a happy baby! Overall, I felt in super safe hands all the time and could not wish for more.

Keith was absolutely amazing, he did all of our scans personally and he always kept us at ease. We had a planned c section, however the baby decided to arrive a bit early. Keith took care of everything and made sure everything ran smoothly. Huge thank you to Keith! Would very highly recommend him to any expecting mum!!
