Dr James Francis is a highly experienced Consultant Rheumatologist based at Leicester Royal Infirmary, with a private practice at Spire Leicester Hospital and Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital.
He completed his specialist rheumatology training across Worcester, Lincoln, and Leicester, and also holds specialist accreditation in General (Internal) Medicine. Since his appointment as Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) in 2005, Dr Francis has been dedicated to providing expert, patient-centred care in all aspects of rheumatology.
Dr Francis manages a wide range of conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, osteoporosis, metabolic bone disease, and inflammatory arthritis, as well as back and neck pain. He also performs joint, soft tissue, and epidural injections to relieve pain and improve function.
