I am a general adult psychiatrist working in both the NHS and private sector in London. Over the years, I developed a broad range of clinical and research expertise working in Italy, UK and USA.
I completed my medical education in Italy and my postgraduate qualification in General Adult Psychiatry in London.
I have e deep interest in research and I worked for four years at the National Institute of Health, (NIH) Bethesda, USA.
Clinical Experience:
I have experience in the assessment and management of different types of Psychiatric disorders including Anxiety
(e.g. panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), ADHD, Mood Disorders (e.g. Depression and Bipolar Illness), Psychosis (e.g. Schizophrenia), and Personality Disorders.
I worked in multiple psychiatric services within NHS including the Early Intervention Unit for Psychosis (South London and Maudsley NHS trust and South West London & St George's Mental Health Trust), Home Treatment Team, Community Mental Health Team, and the Neuropsychiatric Department at St George's Hospital (South West London & St George's Mental Health Trust).
Since 2013, I have been appointed as substantive Consultant Psychiatrist at South West London & St George's Mental Health Trust.
I am committed to Continuing Professional Development and am appraised every year by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (Certificate of good standing) and the GMC.
What to expect:
During the initial consultation, I discuss with you the issues you are concerned about, your expectations from the
treatment and ask about your past psychiatric history, medical history and personal background.
It usually takes one or two sessions (depending on the complexity) to be able to discuss all the issues as well as your
therapeutic goals.
I work in close collaboration with you to establish a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. At the end of the initial consultation, I will consider the feasibility of a diagnosis if any and advise/prescribe medications if needed.
After the first assessment, I advise on whether one or more follow-up appointments might be appropriate and on potential psychological interventions that could be effective for you.
I do online consultation and face to face consultations in Central (Harley Street).
I do also psychiatric reports, including medico-legal reports.
Research Activity:
I believe research is fundamental in improving our ability to understand and treat mental health problems.
I am very interested in understanding how genetic and environmental factors can jointly predispose to psychiatric disorders.
I started my research activity in 2004 working as postdoctoral visiting fellow at the National Institute of Health, (NIH) Bethesda, USA. At NIH, I focused my research interest on addiction and personality disorders. As a result of my work, I obtained a PhD in neurobiology of affective disorder in 2008 and published multiple articles for international scientific journals.
In London, I continued my research activity working as Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry Kings
College London.

I unreservedly recommend Dr. Ducci as a psychiatrist. She is not only highly educated, trained, and experienced, but also deeply caring and listens closely. Dr. Ducci's communication style during our therapy is clear and based on our relationship of mutual trust. In my experience Dr. Ducci 's therapeutic guidance is extremely constructive and practical. In fact, after stopping therapy for a few years, I chose to return to Dr. Ducci to resume my therapy to cope with my depression and life choices because I found her so helpful.

Apologies for my delay - I have been meaning to add a review for Dr Ducci for some time. Let me start off by saying I would have no hesitation in recommending Dr Ducci to anyone experiencing difficulties in respect to their mental health. She has vast knowledge in this area and put me at ease straight away. Quite literally Dr Ducci helped to save my life. I have no words that can fully express my sincere thanks or show my deep gratitude. Summary - Despite my best efforts I was dismissed from a job of 30+years because I continued to demonstrate negative behaviours / symptoms caused by my ongoing battle with Anxiety & Depression. At no stage did my employers ever consider me for ill health retirement before they dismissed me because mental health illness was ‘invisible’ and in my case it was over-looked. Fortunately, they allowed me the opportunity to apply retrospectively. I contacted Dr Ducci via Doctify (because I was at my wits end and didn’t know where to go) and I asked if she could assess me and provide my employers an independent report in support of a retrospective ill health retirement application. At this time, I was feeling very hopeless and in a particularly dark place. As a husband and father to young children I felt totally useless 1) I could not take care of them & 2) that I could not beat my A&D. Suicide idealisation was all the time. Before meeting Dr Ducci for the first time, I was concerned from her profile that she sounded very Italian and might not be able to fully communication or understand me. How wrong was I was! Dr Ducci’s English is way better than mine! Both her written and oral English are both very strong, and she cannot be faulted. Dr Ducci took the time to properly assess me. She took note of my entire history (asking for medical evidence when necessary) which took some time, and she recorded my behaviours/symptoms eventually diagnosing me with a form of persistent depressive disorder. Dr Ducci then produced a detailed report that was taken as new medical evidence and accepted by my pension schemes medical advisor in support of my application for ill health retirement. Although I continue to struggle daily with my mental health and depression never fully leaves me. I am no longer worried about some of the same issues that used to drag my mind to a dark place. Without her involvement and understanding of my mental health I would probably not be here today. Dr Ducci has helped me enormously. Thank you.

Dr Ducci has been very supportive and I’ve had a good experience through a diagnosis that has been difficult at times to come to terms with.

I have been seeing Dr Ducci for over one year now and I am very happy with her. She is a professional, experienced practitioner and she has been able to look after me through my highs and lows. Dr Ducci helped me consider pros and cons of the medications I am taking and suggested alternative treatments which will reduce risks of side effects of the current medications: ultimately benefiting my overall health. I highly recommend her.
