Dr Farrah Jawad

Dr. Farrah Jawad is an experienced Consultant in Sport, Exercise, and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

With a focus on bone health, dance medicine, performing arts medicine, tendinopathy, and ultrasound-guided injections, Dr. Jawad's practice covers a wide spectrum of musculoskeletal issues. She also specialises in Sport and Exercise Medicine and Relative Energy Deficiency (REDs).

Currently, Dr. Jawad holds positions as a Consultant in Sport, Exercise, and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Pure Sports Medicine, St. Paul’s, and as a Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine at Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust since 2018. Her extensive experience includes serving as a Consultant in SEM at Barts Health NHS Trust from 2019 to 2020.

She has also contributed her expertise as a match-day doctor for various sports organisations, including Wasps Ladies RFC, Hooks ABC, Islington Boxing Club, and events such as the World Para-Athletics Championships, NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters, Muller Anniversary Games, Commonwealth Youth Games, and British Universities and Colleges Sport.

In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Jawad has held positions as a registrar in Sport and Exercise Medicine at prestigious centres such as the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the Defence Military Rehabilitation Centre. She has been recognised for her contributions with awards such as the Barts and the London Alumni Association Award in 2006, the Bauerfeind Travelling Fellowship from the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine in 2016, and a nomination for the Dean’s Prize at University College London in 2016.
