I am a childhood cancer survivor and see many Doctors for the late effects of treatment. I have seen Dr Rahman both privately and on the NHS and I have to say he is simply the best Dr I've seen (and I've seen a lot)! He has an excellent knowledge of gastroenterology and he always takes time to listen and explain. He is polite and understanding. I have recommended Dr Rahman to friends and family and would recommend him highly to anyone who reads this review. I currently live in the South East and see him in London but will soon be moving North, but will always travel down to see him. Simply the best.

5 stars all the way! Dr Rahman is an exceptional doctor. After over 30 years of suffering from various bowel problems, and seeing various consultants and specialists along the way, I had resigned myself to having to manage my condition with mountains of medication for the rest of my life. Since being under Dr Rahman's care, my medication and symptoms are minimal. Truly amazing! I am very grateful.

I had previously looked for a consultant myself but was unable to find someone I could choose definitively. I saw Doctor Rahman via my insurance company and I was immediately happy with the choice of consultant. Doctor Rahman was able to identify my condition within about 10-15 minutes after listening to what I had told him. He then proceeded to test me for all the things the NHS had refused to test me for in order to confirm my condition and rule out any other unpleasantness. 18 months spent with the NHS to see no progress, but only 2 months with Dr Rahman to my current recovered state including the treatment. Dr Rahman has been an absolute pleasure to deal with, being both knowledgeable and proactive with diagnosis and treatment. I am just over two months into my treatment and I have almost no more issues from condition. Having recently confirmed with the NHS as well, the prescription is not available from the NHS so I would never have had my issue diagnosed and treated if I had not visited Doctor Rahman. Dr Rahman's PA has also been wonderful, always being contactable and promptly returning messages or emails and in a very pleasant, friendly and polite manner. I highly recommend Dr Rahman to anyone who wishes to pursue diagnosis and treatment with a knowledgeable and responsive doctor. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Explanation

I came to Dr. Rahman with a large set of symptoms that were generally impacting my life in a not great way. I’d spoken to a few other doctors about these and had effectively been told that these symptoms were likely not related, and that no direct medical treatment was possible. While somewhat desperate I reached out to Dr. Rahman and he told me a different story. Ultimately through some diagnostics we were able to find a potential cause for my symptoms, and an actual treatment. Whether or not this resolves my symptoms remains to be seen, but I have found Dr. Rahman to be very helpful nonetheless. As well as knowledgeable, he’s kind and willing to answer all kinds of questions, and I feel has gone out of his way to ensure that I understand information presented and different options available. Highly recommend.

Explanation

Dr Rahman is a highly experienced professional, as well as being a calm, compassionate doctor. He was happy to take the time to intelligently and thoroughly explain and discuss all aspects of the procedure (colonoscopy). I was quite nervous initially, but Dr Rahman and his staff handled everything so smoothly that it was actually a not totally unpleasant procedure! A very kind man!

Explanation

I have Crohns disease and have been seeing Dr Rahman for some 6 years now. He is likeable, approachable and hugely knowledgeable. I see Dr Rahman both as a private paying patient and as a NHS patient and he is as personable and attentive in whichever arena I see him. Dr Rahman obviously enjoys his work and his enthusiasm for his chosen vocation comes through in his manner with patients. Since I have been seeing him my health has had its ups and downs (as is the norm with someone suffering with Crohn's disease) but the fact that I know that I have such a sympathetic and knowledgeable ear on the end of the phone ( or immediate reply to an email ) is of huge comfort and allows me to lead my life to the full in the knowledge that if there is a problem ( which there have been ) I can get immediate advice as to what to do. This extended to even, on one occasion, when I was many miles away in the remote Far East, on New Year’s Day , Dr Rahman replied to my desperate text within minutes giving me the appropriate advice. I cannot recommend Dr Rahman Highly enough.
