I spent 11 years with an NHS specialist being misdiagnosed for microscopic colitis, I was taking steroids 3 times a day with little or no affect. My NHS consultant continually put me through colonoscopys and blood tests but always getting the same results with no new treatment options. I had heard from other people's experiences of having a colonoscopy that the procedure was very uncomfortable. However for me, this was not the case. Dr Rahman ensured that I was comfortable throughout, and the process was not painful (despite having been warned that due to having a smaller frame, it may have been uncomfortable at certain parts of the procedure).
