About Dr Dennis Wat
Dr. Dennis Wat is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, with a specialist interest in cystic fibrosis (CF) and chronic lung disease. He graduated with his medical degree (MB BCh) from Cardiff University in 1998 and went on to complete a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in 2007, focusing on the impact of respiratory viruses in patients with CF.
Dr. Wat began his consultant career in 2009 at the Adult CF Unit at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, one of the leading centres for respiratory care in the UK. In 2012, he joined the Liverpool Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service, where he continues to contribute to the development of comprehensive care for adults with CF.
In addition to his CF expertise, Dr. Wat has extensive clinical experience in the management of a broad spectrum of chronic respiratory conditions including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiectasis, asthma, cystic fibrosis, difficult lung infections and oxygen therapy.
He is actively involved in clinical research and serves as principal investigator for multiple clinical trials. Dr. Wat has published widely in peer-reviewed medical journals and contributed to several book chapters, reinforcing his commitment to advancing the field of respiratory medicine.

Dr Wat explains everything clearly & precise. There's no such thing as a silly question. He makes sure that you're BOTH happy with the plan of action before you leave the consultation, if not he will try and figure out how to make it so everyone is in agreement. I've not had such an open and honest doctor since being under Dr Amegavie at Whiston.
