Dr Christina Prechtl is an accredited Consultant Dietitian with many years of experience in providing comprehensive dietetic therapy for a wide range of issues.
Christina gained her primary medical qualifications including her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Dietetics at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena; PhD in Investigative Medicine, and her Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Her studies allowed her to gain expert knowledge and experience on the treatment eating disorders, obesity, bariatric surgery, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and glycaemic index advice.
Dr Prechtl aims to guide her patients in their understanding and relationship with food, as well as any underlying psychological causes that can cause of inappropriate eating behaviours.
