Dr Bryar Koyi

Dr. Bryar Koyi is a board-certified Specialist Periodontist and Implant Surgeon in both the UK and Australia, renowned for his expertise in managing complex periodontal and implant cases. With over a decade of advanced clinical experience, he combines technical excellence, academic depth, and a patient-centred approach to deliver exceptional outcomes at Moira Wong Orthodontics.

Dr. Koyi began his academic journey with a BSc in Molecular Genetics from King’s College London, followed by a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Barts and The London Dental School in 2010. He went on to complete a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry (Periodontology), a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Periodontology, and a Certificate in Advanced Implantology, earning specialist accreditation in Periodontics.

Alongside his clinical career, Dr. Koyi has held senior academic appointments, including Senior Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology and Oral Implantology at the University of Western Australia and Clinical Teaching Fellow at UCL’s Eastman Dental Institute.

Dr. Koyi routinely performs a wide range of advanced procedures, including complex dental implant placements (such as full-arch reconstructions and “teeth-in-a-day”), bone and soft tissue grafting (sinus lifts, block grafts, gum grafts), surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy (including LANAP laser treatment), periodontal plastic surgery, and oral surgery such as wisdom tooth extractions and cyst removal. He also carries out orthodontic-related surgical procedures, including impacted tooth exposures and retention implants.

A member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (M Perio RCS Ed), the British Society of Periodontology, the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and the Australia and New Zealand Association of Periodontists, Dr. Koyi remains at the forefront of innovation in his field. He integrates the latest digital technologies into his treatments and is known for delivering predictable, minimally invasive, and aesthetic results tailored to each patient’s needs.

Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Koyi contributes to ongoing research, has published in leading journals, and co-authored a clinical textbook on dentine hypersensitivity.
