Dr Mukhopadhya started working as a consultant at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in 2009 and he is currently the Clinical Service Director for the Department of Digestive Disorders. He works on bowel screening colonoscopies. He had his training at Christian Medical College in India. He was trained at Christian Medical College, India, and the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. He had additional training at the Royal Free and the University College in London. Dr Mukhopadhya is interested in Hepatology and Advanced Endoscopy. His participation in clinical research produced many papers in peer-reviewed journals. As an academic, he is keenly interested in portal hypertension and cirrhosis. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh and he is an examiner for the MRCP exams for the college.
