Abhijit Chaudhuri is a Consultant Neurologist based at the Queen's Hospital in Romford (Greater London) and Nuffield Health Hospital in Glasgow. He joined the department from his previous post of Senior Lecturer in Clinical Neurosciences in the University of Glasgow. Neurological infections, neuroimmunology and neuroinflammation are areas of his major clinical and research interests. He runs specialist NHS clinics on Neuroinflammation/Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and post-viral fatigue/chronic fatgue syndrome (CFS/ME). He has been a Principal Investigator in several Phase II, Phase III and Phase-IV clinical trials of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, restless legs syndrome, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease. He was a member of the NHS England's Clinical Reference Group in Clinical Neurosciences and Association of British Neurologists' subspecialist group on MS. He was nominated as a Fellow of the European Academy of Neurology (FEAN) in 2016.

Abhijit Chaudhuri graduated from Calcutta Medical College and completed his post-graduate training in Medicine and Neurology from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Bombay before moving to UK to do his PhD in the University of Glasgow. He holds fellowships of the Royal College of Physicians in London and the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons in Glasgow. He is a member if the Scientific Panel of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) on MS, neuroimmunology and neurological infections. He has published several papers and written chapters in medical books. He is a peer reviewer of medical journals and external reviewer of research grant applications in his subspecialist areas of expertise and interest.
