About Mr Derek Wright
Dr. Derek Wright is Clinic Director and Co-Director of the Osborne Clinic, bringing more than three decades of elite sports physiotherapy experience to his practice. For over 30 years, he served as Head Physiotherapist at Newcastle United, where he was integral to the treatment and rehabilitation of world-class football players.
In addition to his role at Newcastle United, Dr. Wright worked as physiotherapist to the England U21 squad, supporting three European Championship campaigns over a six-year period. His career at the highest level of sport has given him unparalleled expertise in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.
Today, he applies this extensive experience to his clinical work at the Osborne Clinic, where he is dedicated to providing expert physiotherapy care to patients from all walks of life.

Excellent attention to detail, always resssuring and great chat!
Derek is a very experienced and excellent Physio. He has helped me through the years with my hip issues. I fractured my femur last year and he has made a huge contribution to my recovery.
I have been seeing Derek for physio on my knees after operations this year. His expertise , knowledge , care and support is absolutely fantastic. I feel at complete ease with Derek and he is absolutely the best at what he does. I would really struggle to go elsewhere.
