Dr Deepti Bhargava

Dr Deepti Bhargava is a dedicated Consultant Neurosurgeon who specialises in functional neurosurgery, restorative neurosurgery, and the surgical management of chronic pain. With a patient-centred approach, she focuses on bridging traditional neurosurgical techniques with innovative medical technologies to significantly improve her patients' quality of life. Her reassuring and professional manner helps patients feel supported as they navigate complex neurological conditions.

Her clinical practice encompasses a wide range of advanced neurosurgical interventions. Dr Bhargava has particular expertise in neuromodulation therapies, including spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and vagal nerve stimulation. She is also highly skilled in performing minimally invasive procedures, such as endoscopic spinal cord stimulator implantation and percutaneous balloon compression for trigeminal neuralgia. Her clinical interests extend to the management of spasticity, movement disorders, complex epilepsy, and subarachnoid haemorrhage.

Dr Bhargava completed her undergraduate medical education, earning her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from MGM Medical College in Indore, India. She subsequently pursued extensive postgraduate training, obtaining her Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), a Doctor of Medicine (MD), and the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Surgical Neurology (FRCS(SN)). Alongside her clinical work, she is actively engaged in clinical research and medical education, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed publications and serving as an examiner to help train the next generation of surgeons.
