Dr Darshna Patel

Darshna Patel is a UK-trained General Practitioner with interests in general medicine, diabetes care, women’s health, and Functional Medicine. She qualified with an MBBS from University College London in 2007 and completed a four-year Academic GP training programme with the Royal Free Hospital before qualifying as a GP in 2016. Since then, she has worked within the NHS as both a salaried and locum GP.

Dr Patel holds a Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), completed in London in 2013, and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She further developed her expertise in chronic disease management by completing a Certificate in Diabetes Care through University of Warwick in 2018, later serving as Clinical Lead for Diabetes within her practice.

Alongside conventional primary care, Dr Patel has a strong interest in evidence-based Functional Medicine. In 2018, she completed the “Applying Functional Medicine to Clinical Practice” programme and integrates lifestyle, nutrition, and preventative approaches into personalised care plans where appropriate.

Her clinical interests include diabetes management, preventative healthcare, women’s health, hormonal wellbeing, and holistic patient care.
